As a writer, there is nothing more enticing than the human condition. As Janos Kovacsi told me, writers live, and then put themselves on the page. Whether an ultra gritty socio-commentary on superheroes, or a touching drama dealing with grief, all my writing tries to explain the world and the humans who inhabit it.
As a director, there is nothing more fulfilling than imaging and planning out a whole world, and seeing it come to life in front of me. In film, I took a troupe of non-actors and shaped them to tell my most emotionally challenging story yet, and in theatre, Brechtian techniques are used to tell dynamic stories in interesting ways.
As an actor, I thrive on transformation. Whether it’s grounded drama or sharp-edged comedy, I’m fully in—body, voice, and instinct. I treat every role like it deserves everything I’ve got. I study human behavior obsessively, step into characters completely, and push past comfort zones to create performances that are bold, specific, and alive.
Nominated for Outstanding Lead, Singer, and Dancer – Winner: Outstanding Actor
Commanding the stage as Juan Perón in this monumental retelling of the life of Argentina’s First Lady, I helped lead an emotionally charged, musically rich production. With precision, power, and presence, I brought both political gravitas and quiet vulnerability to one of history’s most complex figures.
Tapping into something primal and unhinged, I portrayed the villainous Mr. Burns—a role that demanded I channel shades of the Joker, the devil, and Elvis himself. This avant-garde, genre-bending performance pushed me to my artistic limits as I embodied the twisted evolution of a story passed down through generations. My toughest and most transformative role to date.
Nominated for Outstanding Lead
Bringing heart and humor to the role of Walter Hobbs, I found the emotional core of a father rediscovering joy. In this high-energy reimagining of a modern holiday classic, I balanced corporate rigidity with a growing vulnerability—showing that Christmas spirit really can break through the hardest shell.
Nominated for Outstanding Lead.
As the streetwise, magnetic Artful Dodger, I stepped into the fast-talking, nimble-footed world of Dickensian London. This role gave me the chance to blend sharp wit with physical agility, playing a character who’s both charming and desperate—a masterclass in energy, precision, and layered mischief.
In Sondheim’s abstract and emotionally rich masterpiece, I played the Soldier—a character hovering between longing and obligation. With a blend of vocal power and quiet introspection, I contributed to the haunting beauty of the show’s broader meditation on art, love, and legacy.
In this lighthearted, eco-conscious reimagining of Shakespeare’s The Tempest, I played the lovestruck and optimistic Prince Ferdinand. Designed for young audiences, the show blended classic storytelling with environmental themes and interactive moments. I brought warmth, charm, and playfulness to the role—inviting kids (and grown-ups) into a world where love, magic, and sustainability take center stage.
A whirlwind of physical comedy and expressive chaos, I dove headfirst into the role of LeFou. With explosive timing, improvisational flair, and big-hearted goofiness, I brought Gaston’s loyal sidekick to life—earning laughs without ever losing the character’s human edge.
In a rare dual casting, I took on both Nathan Detroit and Sky Masterson—two wildly different men navigating luck, love, and loyalty. From Nathan’s jittery charm to Sky’s suave confidence, I showcased my range in voice, movement, and character transformation. A balancing act of opposites that proved both challenging and deeply rewarding.
